Davivienda

MyHouse Web

Davivienda, one of the most important and iconic banks in Colombia, wanted to create a website where users could search for homes and apply for a mortgage directly with them. Our goal was to identify the pain points and frictions in the process and minimize them by making the digital experience as seamless and user-friendly as possible.

Process

The Service Designers conducted interviews with users and stakeholders, defined User Personas, and created Journey Maps, which I later converted into User Flows. I organized an initial meeting with the team to present these flows, assign responsibilities and timelines, and establish general design guidelines for the UI team, of which I was also a part as a Senior Designer. We then developed a high-fidelity prototype, which we ultimately tested with users.

Challenge

We faced two major challenges: simplifying the complex home loan application process through the interface and providing an excellent property search experience.

Davivienda — Search Experience by Lifestyle

Search Experience by Lifestyle

We designed a search structure based on lifestyles to complement the traditional filter-based search commonly found in this type of portal. This approach enhances the experience for users looking for a home that aligns with their lifestyle.

Davivienda — A More Relevant Filtering System

A More Relevant Filtering System

For the filters, we used a combination of selectors and chips that display results in real time. We enhanced their relevance by making them sticky and positioning them prominently in the top section, similar to a main navigation bar.

Davivienda — Optimized cards to reduce clicks

Optimized cards to reduce clicks

We designed the result list cards to showcase the most relevant information for each property, along with key complementary features. This approach prevents users from repeatedly entering and exiting pages that don’t meet their basic requirements, reducing the number of clicks and significantly enhancing the search experience.

Davivienda — Vertical Rhythm for a harmonious layout

Vertical Rhythm for a harmonious layout

Due to the large amount of information on several pages of the site, I found it essential to define a vertical spacing system that would create a harmonious reading and viewing rhythm. This approach allowed us to maintain a light and visually pleasant composition despite the high number of elements.
